Projects > enMeshed 2011
enMeshed was a public art installation conceived by visual artist John O’Brien—an art and science hybrid responding to the AxS 2011 FIRE and WATER theme in Pasadena, CA from October 1-December 1, 2011. enMeshed was sited in a public storefront with two separate window chambers—and was installed in the gallery windows of the Honda R&D Americas Gallery at the corner of Raymond and Union, where it was experienced by persons passing by on foot and in their vehicles.
20 Objects partnered with artist John O'Brien, using a Microsoft Kinect and the jit.freenect.grab object in Max/MSP/Jitter to capture visitor movement, which influenced the video projection on the window front.
